Red Out Loud

It is December 13th, and I am sitting in my Upper West Side apartment with my friend Ben Romans. He plays piano in a band called the Click Five. They are rad. He is telling me now that he has been a musician from age one. Seriously. My dog, charley is fast asleep on Ben’s left leg. Clearly, she is not interested. Ben has been keeping me company this month while he is getting some business done here on the East Coast (He lives in lala land). He talks a lot, but anyone can tell you that. And to know Ben is to love him, a lot.

In 4 weeks I am going to Malawi for a month and a half. My new friend Molly, who spent her summer there, sent me some pics of the place where I will be staying. There is no electricity or running water in this house. But there is small television set for decoration. I’m going to help build up a nursery school. I have no clue what to expect but I am getting really excited.
